From corporate conferences and formal functions to laid-back social get-togethers, your event MC is one of the most important roles to ensure a smooth event. I've been lucky enough to be involved with a large cross-section of events over the years.
A good MC can be hard to find. They should be the easiest person you deal with for your event and should remove any stress 'on-the-day', keep your event to time and ensure the event is not about them, but about the real stars of the show.
With over 20 years in the media, I am comfortable hosting Q&A sessions on any topic and always endeavour to put event attendees and those on-stage at ease with the right mix of humour and the utmost professionalism.
I'm only too happy to discuss your requirements. Check out some of my recent work below and drop me a line via this Contact Form to chat more.
Recent Events
A snapshot of some of the recent events I have been lucky enough to help host.
SOUTHLAND SPORT AWARDS
Nick stepped into the role of MC at the ILT Southland Sports Awards a number of years ago and, like a superb masters athlete, he just gets better every year!
With Nick, nothing is a problem – he is simply an ease to work with. He is well prepared, organised, comes armed with great ideas and year after year delivers a flawless and entertaining performance, ensuring the event runs seamlessly and to time.
He makes sure the night is about the finalists, and that’s what it’s all about.
Nick has also compered other functions we have held that are more informal, and does a consistently great job.
We would recommend Nick as an MC for any occasion.

GORE KIDS HUB
Back to the old stomping ground of Gore!
It's been a few years since I hosted an event in my old home town but it was great to be part of an evening which raised over $20,000 for the wonderful Kids Hub project.
Guest speaker Rob Waddell (he's the taller and better looking one on the right in the pic above) was outstanding and a charity auction was outstandingly supported (particularly later in the evening!)
It's always great to see organisations rewarded for all their hard work and determination and not relying on hand-outs. It was a great night to play a small part in.
FORTUNA DAIRY AWARDS EVENING
Funny, punctual and talented MC is how we can describe Nick.
For 3 years he has elevated the professionalism to the most important night of the year in the Fortuna Group calendar.
Nick has the experience to help plan the night’s run sheet, collects relevant information to slot into the introductions and is adaptable if things don’t go according to plan.
He is a critical part of our evening.

RUGBY SOUTHLAND LAUNCH
A wonderful initiative from Rugby Southland, launching a six-month exhibition at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery, capturing 130 years of history.
I was lucky enough to host the launch which featured some great stories from three generations of Southland representatives. Murray Heath, Jimmy Cowan and Alena Saili. Rugby has changed!!
Congratulations to Breidi and Andrew and the team at Rugby Southland who did so much work pulling this together in a short space of time. It is a real legacy for your organisation and sport.
SOUTHERN STEEL GALA NIGHT
Co-host of the annual Southern Steel Netball Gala Night.
A fun, social evening where the Steel team and management got to share their success of an undefeated 2017 season with their most ardent fans.
The evening included the Steel's Annual Awards along with Q&A sessions with coach Reinga Bloxham, captain Wendy Frew and all the members of the 2017 squad.
It also featured a charity auction and a Steel version of Family Feud which pitted the team against each other with hilarious results.
A fun night with a great group.
